Brad goes to the Temple

The weekend after New Year's we were able to meet up with my family in Oakland and go to the Temple for Brad's first time. It was such a great experience and we are so excited for Brad as he prepares to leave for Australia in a month and a half.

After, we went to Fenton's Creamery, my favorite place in the world. Oh, how I love the black and tan (see sundae in front of Brad).

New Year's pictures to come.

For The Record...

Just wanted to say that I ran (well, jogged) for two miles straight today. I have never done that before! I've always had to stop and walk for a couple minutes in between. I kind of fell off the bandwagon since my last post about working out, but I am back on and am very happy about it. Two miles!

Taken

Tonight Aaron and I went to see the movie "Marley and Me" but after we got our seats I decided I should use the bathroom before the movie began. I left Aaron alone and when I returned I found that he was alone no longer. A girl was sitting right next to him. There were probably 3 or 4 empty seats on the row, and plenty of room in the rest of the theater, but she chose to sit right next to my husband. I squeezed by her and sat on the other side of him, wondering why she would sit next to him but figured she had some friends coming. Aaron was thinking the same thing. We kept waiting for her friends to show up. Maybe they were running late because the popcorn was all gone and they had to wait for some more to be popped? (true story, we didn't get popcorn because it was a long wait)

But no, her friends never showed up.

I guess she just thought my husband was hot and thought he was alone.

Wrong, he's taken.

Christmas Day

After Christmas morning with the Coons', we headed down to the Carter's for more Christmas!

I saw these family name signs online and fell in love with them. Not only did I get one for us, we also got one for Lani and Dee for Christmas.

I knitted my very first scarf and gave it to Hillary for Christmas. I was very proud.

We also got her a shirt so the scarf is around her neck.
Jim opening the present we got him, a shirt!

Wes and Aaron had the same idea and got eachother gag gifts, ridiculous DVD's, along with the real present.

And Aaron and I got tickets to go see Wicked in SF with Jim and Dee in March. We can't wait!!!

Landon loved the luggage Wes and Lani got although he thought it was funnest to be inside.

The other thing he loved was this little spiky gelly ball that Dee got him. He was scared of it at first but then he ended up loving it. It was so funny!

Then Lani and I made Christmas dinner. It was delicious!

I'm wearing the adorable Athropologie apron Wes and Lani got me.

We made Osa Bucco (I don't know if that's spelled right) which is basically beef shanks cooked over vegetables and then put over risotto and then topped with the sauce from the veggies and beef. It was divine.

We also got to go back to the amazing Christmas Lights house. It is still amazing.

We hope you all had a very merry Christmas. We did!

Christmas Morning

We woke up early Christmas morning so that we could see Tommy when he came downstairs to see what Santa had brought. He asked Santa for an airplane and also informed us that Santa was going to bring Triton a bone.

Tommy found his airplane

and Triton got a bone

Aaron and I with our stockings that my mom made us. Thanks mom! We love them.

The boys are ready to open presents

Mom liked the shirt we got her from Eddie Bauer

and Caitlin loved her little dogs.

Can you resist this adorable face? Pure Christmas joy.

Triton wanted to be in the middle of it all and didn't mind the paper at all!

Tommy loved playing with his new airplane

and we loved playing the new Wii!

Christmas Eve

Since my mom is the oldest of seven kids she has always hosted Christmas Eve at our house. There are so many of us and it sometimes gets out of control, but it is always so much fun.
Here is a little video of the opening of the presents. As you can see, there is no order to things.

My mom and my grandpa

Aaron and I, anxious for Christmas morning

Before we went to bed, Tommy made sure to put out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. Tommy couldn't wait for Santa to come.
