Preston's 3rd Birthday Party!!

We decided to have a small party for Preston at our tiny apartment and just invite nursery friends and immediate family. Preston knew for months that he wanted to have a motorcycle party and it was so fun to come up with ideas for decoration, cake and games. He was absolutely thrilled when the time for his party finally arrived.

Can't believe my boy is three!!

Preston is 3!!!

I cannot believe that my baby boy is 3 years old. The time has flown by and I cannot imagine life without him. He is full of energy and love and makes me so happy to be his mom.

For a special birthday we went to meet Dad for lunch and go to the "motorcycle mall". There is a little arcade inside the mall and he loves riding the motorcycle there. He also got to go on the "horsies round and round" and we put Tanner on the back before the ride began.

I love how sweet Preston is to his brother. He can make Tanner laugh like no one else can and you can already tell that Tanner adores his big brother. I love when Preston mimics our baby voices when he talks to Tanner.

Later in the day we went up to the river to throw rocks in the water. Preston has such a good arm and can throw the rocks so far. He is very determined and when he couldn't get the rock into the water from the top of the hill he decided to get closer and ventured down the steep hill so he could reach.

Preston might be too smart for his own good. He is already trying to manipulate his mom with words at 3! He talks up a storm and loves to learn new things. Lately he wants to "talk about power lines". He wants to know how everything works. He is obsessed with motorcycles and all things that go. He LOVES riding his scooter that he got for his birthday.

That night we sang and he blew out candles on his cupcake. Earlier in the day I had sang "You've had a Birthday" and when I sang "one year older and wiser too" he stopped me and said, "wiser three cuz I'm three!" Totally makes sense. Our camera ran out of memory so they end cuts out...

Tahoe with Friends

We were so lucky to be able to spend a weekend in Tahoe with some of our great friends. We had so much fun and laughed so hard. The weekend was full of games, a little shopping, eating and ended with snow!

Big kids were left home but Tanner got to join us. He was mostly a happy boy all weekend.

We went down to the beach and it was beautiful! Totally different feel than when we went during the summer and it was busy with tourists and boats.

A few hours before we left on Sunday it started to snow. It was so much fun to see and luckily it didn't stick to the road because we didn't have chains!

We had such a great time and can't wait to go again!

Tanner's First Rice Cereal

 I've been thinking that Tanner was ready to start eating for a while but I kept putting it off because it is such a production. I decided that today was the day. He really wanted that food!

 Until he tasted it.

 I tried for the first time while Aaron was at work and Preston was the photographer.

 The second attempt with dad home went much better. I think men are definitely better at spoon feeding babies.
