Point Arena

Aaron and I knew that a trip with just the 2 of us wouldn't be happening any time soon after baby #2 comes so we decided to take a trip and exchanged my parents time share for a place in Point Arena. We were so excited to get away although I was nervous about leaving Preston for 4 days. He did great and we had a great time. Thanks to Anna and Matt and Lyndsey for taking such good care of him!
Breakfast Saturday morning. It was to die for. I still think about it.
Our visit to the Point Arena lighthouse. It was amazing to see a lighthouse up close and especially to be able to go up to the top.

Gorgeous view
A breathtaking coastline

Our place. It was a bunch of individual cabins in a converted campground. It was literally up the road from the lighthouse.
Inside: The kitchen which leads back to the bedroom and bathroom.
The Family Room

One night this cat was wandering around and found Aaron. They loved each other.
We were able to visit a couple beautiful beaches. This one was at Anchor Bay.
Aaron loved climbing the rocks. I was a little more cautious with my 6 month baby belly.

We were able to go up to Mendocino and Fort Bragg for a day and loved walking around this quaint little town. We visited all sorts of shops, ate lunch and went to see Men in Black 4.
Our last night we went back to the lighthouse for the sunset. It was freezing but absolutely breathtaking.

We would love to go back but I'm not sure I'll be going any time soon since the drive was horrific. I don't know if being pregnant made it worse or what but driving anywhere was hard for me with my motion sickness and the windy roads. Aaron was such an amazing husband and put up with me when I got sick. He took such great care of me. I am no longer worried about leaving Preston and know that it needs to happen more often because we had such a wonderful time together. Next time it will be a straight drive to wherever we go and hopefully sooner than later!

Sacramento Zoo

Preston's friend Jett turned 2 and had his birthday party at the Sacramento Zoo. There were 5 little 1 1/2 to 2 year olds running around and we had the funnest time.
Amara, Sammy, Jett, Jake and Preston on the tractor
Dad and Preston looking at the giraffes
I love this one of the dads and their kids: Chad and Amara, Aaron and Preston, Shaun and Jake
They even had a carousel! Preston loves carousels and calls them "horsies round and round" even though he doesn't look happy and isn't even riding a horse.
After the zoo we enjoyed lunch and cake in the park across the street. He had a great time and was all worn out by the time we got in the car.

Watching Football

This kid cracks me up. He seriously loves football and gets so excited when he is watching that he just can't stop jumping. Good thing we have the best 49er's game recorded.

Mother's Day

I truly feel so blessed to be a mother to this adorable boy and another on the way. It is the greatest blessing and brings me more joy than I imagined possible.

Mother's Day started out great when on Saturday night Aaron surprised my with a gift, the diaper bag I've been wanting!! So appropriate for Mother's Day.
We enjoyed church and when we got home there were cards from my boys. (And roses from the day before). Preston got to color in his and was so excited for me to open it.

I am truly the luckiest woman in the world and so grateful to be a mother.

Landon's Baseball Games

Landon played t-ball this year and we had such a great time going to his games. Preston especially loved it and would ask most days to go to Landon's baseball. He got really good at saying "It's on Friday" because that is what I'd always tell him.

We can't wait til Preston can play, and neither can he!!

Train Museum with Uncle Don

We were so excited when Uncle Don was in town and came up to visit. We decided to do something new and went to the train museum. We had such a great time and it was amazing to see the trains up close.

Preston loved being able to go inside the train and look at the engine.

Uncle Don and Preston on the mail train
They had a really cool area for the kids to play with trains and Preston and Don had a great time checking out the trains.

Don bought Preston a train whistle and spent about an hour teaching Preston how to blow in it rather than spit. He finally got it!
We had such a great time with Uncle Don and can't wait til he visits again!
