Motivated

When I went to San Diego with my girlfriends last weekend (post coming soon), I was highly impressed with how cute and fit everyone looked. It got me thinking, I have definitely not been doing what I need to be doing to get the results I'm looking for. I started talking with some of the girls and it seems like there is one key ingredient, running. Running has always been my enemy. I have hated it since I was a little girl and quit soccer because I hated it so much. But, in talking with the girls I became determined to become a runner. My goal is to work up to running 3-4 miles 3-4 times a week. I haven't been able to run a mile straight since I can't remember when, but tonight when I went to the gym I took some of the advice I got from the girls and am proud to say that I ran one mile, walked .05 and then ran another .5 miles! It felt so good and I know now that I will be able to become a runner. I'm excited to one day look back and say, "I can't imagine life without running." I feel so good right now and know that feeling will help me stay motivated.

2nd Anniversary

This coming Tuesday the 19th is Aaron and I's 2nd Anniversary and so, to celebrate, we went back to the Lafayette Park Hotel where we stayed on our Honeymoon before we flew out to Mexico. We had such so much fun and really enjoyed relaxing and being pampered.
Here are some pictures of our room and our view.

When we got the hotel, chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling cider were delivered. Mmmm.

We then went to dinner at Pizza Antica, a newer restaurant in downtown Lafayette. It had gourmet pizza with a thin crust. We highly recommend it.

We noticed this candy shoppe across the street and couldn't resist going in. It was amazing and had everything you can imagine. We had a lot of fun looking around.

In the morning we had a delicous breakfast delivered to our room before we watched License to Wed and had to leave.

We spent the rest of the afternoon at my parents house hanging out with the family. We were able to spend some time with Brad who is leaving next week for BYU. He even gave us a Cutco presentation and we are greatly looking forward to getting some amazing knives from him before he leaves.

Too bad we can't buy this whole set. Brad has been selling Cutco this summer and does a great job.
Here is a picture of Caitlin testing out her balancing skills. She can stand on her own now and has taken about 8 steps by herself. She was kind of scaring us all with her bravery on the rocket.

We had such a great weekend and definitely plan on making the Lafayette Park Hotel a tradition every few years on our Anniversary.

LAME

This is Aaron, and I normally don't post blogs but I found this to be very disappointing--Emily's mom sent us an e-mail that bore the bad news that the 6th Harry Potter movie is being pushed back from it's upcoming November release (which wasn't far away) all the way until NEXT summer, in July! (really far away). Here's the story if you're interested:

What, Warner Brothers, like it wouldn't have made enough money for you to be happy? Because I remember the first 5 movies raking in the dough. You can't mess with the fans like that...

Any thoughts?

Are you ready for this?

Here it is!!! It's definitely going to take some adjusting to but I love it. It is darker than it will be in a few days because the blonde I had will start to come through. What do you think?

Aaron freaked out when I walked in the door because I look so different. He says he loves it but feels like I look like a totally different girl.
I was ready for a change and this feels great.

Hair Style-Cut and Color

I have a hair appointment on Saturday and I'm really ready for something new. I'm ready to go dark again with fall approaching and I'm also considering bangs. The only thing is-I don't really know exactly what I want. I found some pictures online and want to know what you all think, so please comment.
Here is a reminder of basically what my hair looks like now. It is a little darker than this but the cut has been like this for a long time.

I really like the color in this photo below.

I also like the color here, but at the top. I wouldn't want to go as dark as the bottom is. I also like the cut.

Same girl, different angle and different color, which I might like better than the one above. Do you like this cut?

I especially like the haircut and color on Mandy Moore (below) but I would leave my hair a little longer, probably like 4 or 5 inches past my shoulder. I would also let the bangs be a little longer.

Here is a better view of the bangs.

I think I found it. Here is Mandy Moore with longer hair than the above cut. This is more what I want but with the bangs like the above pic.

So, what do you all think? I really need your advice!
