San Francisco

All I wanted for Christmas was a night away where I could sleep in so Aaron and I decided to take a trip to San Francisco. Anna and Brett were nice enough to watch the boys and off we went.

We stayed at the Serrano Hotel, a cute old hotel. For dinner we walked to a 

really yummy little Italian Restaurant

The next day we window shopped and walked around Union Square. It was a beautiful day.

We headed back to Walnut Creek around 3:30 and after hanging out with Anna and Brett and getting delicious Chinese food we headed home. Preston was so beat he literally fell asleep within 5 minutes of driving away.

Such a great getaway with the two of us!

Christmas Morning at the Carter's

Preston and I were the first ones up Christmas morning, followed shortly after by Mark.
I am so happy to have an early riser in the family :)

Preston found his stocking and his gift from Santa, Iron Man! He was actually excited, I promise.

Aaron has wanted a tablet for a few years and this was his lucky day. Between his parents, my parents, Mark and I we surprised him with a Dell Venue 8 Pro. He was very happy.

I made Hillary this Days Until sign and am so happy she liked it :)

I lucked out and got this gorgeous Michael Kors purse from Jim and Dee. Yay!!! My first designer purse!

Christmas Eve

This year we spent Christmas Eve with the Carter's and such a great time. We had a delicious dinner, spent time as a family and saw an amazing Christmas light show.

Preschool Christmas Show

The last week before Christmas at preschool, Natalie taught the kids a new song and had them do a little performance. It was so fun to watch all the kids together and they did such a great job. Afterwards, Natalie had a present for each mom with a card from their kid. It was so thoughtful and the kids loved doing it. We love our preschool group!

Clothes in the Bath

Tonight I asked Tanner if he was ready for a bath and he said "yeah" as he made his way to the bathroom. I was only a minute behind him and found that he couldn't wait! He was ready to get in the bath! He has yet to climb in the bath again by himself so I'm not sure how he even did it. Silly boy.

Christmas Lights

Our friend's, the Bowen's, invited us to tour the coolest street of lights for FHE. It was amazing and I wish that I took more pictures, but at least we got a picture with Luigi!

The next night we were able to go down to Sacamento to take a horse drawn wagon tour of the lights. It was so much fun to be with so many family and friends!

The boys all bundled up. I was actually surprised it wasn't that cold and we ended up without hats by the end of the night.

Tanner had a bit of a rough time but Preston loved every moment. He was so cute hanging off the side of the wagon checking out the lights and singing "Jingle Bells" over and over.

I think we found some new Christmas traditions!

Getting the Christmas Tree

Once again we got a great deal on a Christmas tree! This 7.5' tree was at a lot nearby our house for only $24.95! The night we went to pick it out was freezing so we are all bundled up!

We are realizing with children it is impossible to get the tree and decorate the same night. Finished tree pictures in future posts.

Since it was so cold we decided to break out our long johns!!

Chuck E Cheese

Preston saw a commercial for Chuck E Cheese and randomly asked to go. We decided we deserved a fun family night so we went! Preston sure was happy!
