Camping at Big Trees

We were able to go camping this last weekend with Brett, Anna and Kayden up at Big Trees and had such a great time. We definitely had some obstacles between the swarms of yellow jackets, smoke from the Yosemite fire and fear of bears but we made it work!

The boys absolutely loved playing in the woods behind our campsite.

On the big stump. We barely got this shot because the bees wouldn't leave us alone!
Brett, Anna and Kayden couldn't get a whole family shot because Kayden was trying to escape the bees.

The smoke made for some beautiful pictures.

After walking the North Grove Trail we headed up to Lake Alpine. It was gorgeous as I remember and we were happy there were no bees there!

"How big is Tanner?" "This big!"

It was very smoky but still beautiful.
On the way back we had to stop at the old cabin to show Brett. So many memories there.

Back at camp. We LOVED our new two room tent.

This boy turned one today!

Can't wait to do it again!

I love California camping! It looks so pretty and fun. My kids would have DIED over the yellow jackets.

We were just there for Labor Day. My family has a cabin about 4 miles from Big Trees, in Arnold. Looks like you had fun. The bugs and smoke weren't too great for us either but it was relaxing. Miss you guys!
